Hi! My name is Elaine and I am a mother to three - 2 earth babies and 1 angel baby. When my son, Lando, was born sleeping at 35 weeks, everything changed. The village of mothers I was a part of did not include mothers who looked like me. Aching, missing, longing, and surviving the unthinkable - burying your baby and hoping to see them again one day.

It was then I realized the definition of existing villages and supports for mothers had to widen to include all types of births and all versions of motherhood.

Origin Story

Our Founding Team

  • Alyssa Saldivar - Executive Assistant

Alyssa is a local native to South Austin with fond childhood memories of chasing fireflies at Zilker Park during their summer play season, refreshing days at the Greenbelt and satisfying runs at Town Lake. Alyssa experienced a devastating late-term stillbirth in December of 2024, in which she became an advocate for change in the bereavement sector. With one earthside child and one angel child, Alyssa says being a mother fuels her passion to help others through child loss.

  • Kendall Davis - Community Engagement & Events Coordinator

Kendall Davis is a wife and mother to two energetic boys and a heavenly baby girl, who was stillborn at 40 weeks 2 days. Kendall is a stay at home mom, living on 10 peaceful acres in Wimberley, TX, and dreams of one day filling their land with chickens and goats. She has always loved bringing people together, whether hosting her children’s big, joyous birthday celebrations or themed get togethers with friends. Just five months into her journey of navigating life after loss, she is passionate about creating spaces where bereaved mothers can find support, understanding, and hope. She strives to plan community events that foster connection and healing. When she’s not organizing events, Kendall enjoys a glass of rose’ and a charcuterie board with a good friend, traveling and spending quality time with her family.

Pili Garcia-Clark is a proud mama to her earthside daughter, Celia, and her angel daughter, Clarisse, whom she honors through Clarisse’s Bags Foundation, supporting loss moms in hospitals with free bereavement bags.
